A little bit about your photographer

My name is Charlotte, though most people know me as Charlie.

I am an award winning International photographer and have been awarded the prestigious "photographer of the year - multi genre" title in 2012 and 2013 by The Guild of Photographers in the UK. In 2014, 2 of my images were shortlisted to the final 6 out of 10,000 for the "urban landscape image of the year" title.

In 2015 my image of autumn on the Apeldoorns Kanaal in the Netherlands won the 'Open section' and the overall competition title of the Guild of Photographers Photo Hubs print competition at Hinkley.

I now live in the East of The Netherlands, although regularly return to the UK to work with my wedding and portrait clients.

I produce beautiful images that capture your character and life. Innovative and original, these photos will be a work of art to treasure.

Having grown up in rural England, with a feeling of space, freedom and happiness, I try to incorporate these values into my photography.  I love to photograph outside with the varied backgrounds that are on offer, but also have a studio available.

As an individual I am very relaxed and this is very evident in my photographic style. However, my young energetic son has also influenced the way in which I work! I understand that to create great images; relaxed happy subjects are needed. When working with children I embrace their need to explore, their passion for life and the challenges this create whilst trying to capture that perfect portrait.

I love what I do, I like to think that my passion is evident in the images I create. Even when I’m not at work, my camera is never very far away from me, as I love to document my family life.

Having moved to a beautifully rural location in The Netherlands, I can now indulge myself every day listening to the mooing of cows, and spending time with my family, horse, dog and chickens. As a family we love exploring the local countryside , world travel and a good bottle of red wine (we leave our 11yr old son out of that one!)

I Look forward to meeting you very soon

Charlie
