Kirsty and Ben’s wedding at The Kingscote Barn in Gloucestershire was filled with fun, laughter and love from start to finish, and it was a beautiful day to photograph.
I joined Kirsty as she and her bridesmaids got ready together. In the space of an hour there was much laughter, a few tears and the need for a sewing kit! I loved seeing the girls peeping out of the upstairs window watching as the guests arrived.
During the short ceremony, the couple shared a giggle as Ben had to push his own ring onto his hand! I always love these impromptu happenings in a service, they make for capturing a more relaxed moment during what is (for most) a very serious half hour or so!
Kirsty looked stunning in her beautiful lace gown, and did not stop smiling the whole time. I always try to incorporate some of the textures and colours from the venue into the images, such as the Cotswold stone wall and the trees.
With such a beautiful sunny day for their wedding, we had the opportunity for some early evening photos in between the meal finishing and the evening guests arriving. Kingscote Barn is set in a beautiful location with amazing views into the valley, and the most stunning winding drive down to the barn, all of which we made the most of for these images.
Despite trying their best to encourage all their bridesmaids and groomsmen onto the dance floor as soon as possible during their 1st dance, Kirsty and Ben were left to enjoy this moment alone; they seemed to enjoy it regardless.
A gorgeous day, for a gorgeous couple. I loved every minute of photographing the day for them. Wishing Kirsty and Ben all the best for their lives together as Mr and Mrs!
