As much as I love achieving personal goals of clearing 80cm high cross country jumps on my pony, I absolutely love to go and watch others competing over what I consider absolutely huge jumps!
This last weekend on the 21st – 23rd May; Maarsbergen played host to their annual CIC* and CIC** eventing competition, welcoming riders from Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Held in the beautiful grounds of Landgoed Maarsbergen, a gorgeous country estate parkland.
I went along on Friday and Saturday to enjoy the showjumping and cross country, and captured lots of photos of the competitiors.
As I was not there as an official photographer I enjoyed taking time to capture the atmosphere outside the rings as well. Head shots, quiet moments shared by grooms and their horses, and the beautiful tree lined route between horse stables and arena.
I hope you enjoy the images here in this blog. To see all images from the competition please use this link Maarsbergen photos.
