Chocolate and blue
Walking along the canals of Amsterdam its easy to see the beauty of the architecture and the city. But special to this city is its house boats on the canals.
Many are painted bright colours, and on a still and bright day the reflections of these house boats into their surrounding water creates the most unique patterns.
This collection of images captures the colours and vibrant feel of this Dutch city from a unique angle that most miss during their Amsterdam explorations.
I love the intricate details that are thrown onto the water. Depending on how still the water is, these patterns are also affected.
Some of these almost remind me of Monet's Lilly pad painting in their feel.
