Every year I offer a number of training days and workshops here in The Netherlands and in the UK.

I love teaching. Offering my knowledge to others and seeing their development over the course of a few hours or a few sessions is so rewarding. Although its over ten years since I took my first ever photographic training course, that course is still fresh in my mind and I look back with fond memories on my enthusiastic and well informed tutor and aspire to offer that to others.

My training days are kept to small groups of no more than 6. They are held at locations which elevate learning of specific techniques to ensure the best learning experience possible.

The art of ICM

A full day exploring the Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) technique

This day will take you step by step, exploring the creative technique of ICM in photography. Throughout the day you will not only be guided through the techniques, but also be encouraged to develop a way of seeing in such a way that will encourage your creativity. My aim is for you to not only be able to create ICM images, but also to understand how you can continue to work in this style once you leave the workshop. Part of the workshop day will be dedicated to post processing your images.

In the UK - £195 per person

In the Netherlands - 180 euros per person

Creative art project

An opportunity to explore an idea and see it develop into a body of work

This is a three session course/workshop. Aimed at anyone interested in understanding how to create more than just a stand alone photo with their work. During our 1st day session we will spend time discussing your ideas and looking at a selection of your work previously completed. We will also have practical challenges to get your creative ideas flowing! From this, we will then create a map to follow over the next four months to reach the target you set yourself.  Our second shorter session will be an opportunity to see the progression, an opportunity for critiquing of work, and looking for ways in which the images and overall project can be optimised. At our last session I hope to see a completed body of work that we can discuss further and look at the options for its presentation.

This workshop series will be limited to four people

280 euros per person

Requirements: I would suggest this course is aimed at those looking for a little something more from their photography. However, all are welcome as long as you have a desire to create a project/body of work.
Location: This workshop will be run from my home in Angerlo to ensure a comfortable and optimal learning environment.
Timing: 1st session will be a full day 10.00 - 16.00 Second and third sessions will be four hours long each. The timing of these can be tailored to what is best for the group (evenings and weekends are optional).

The light betweenThe light betweenTrees very rarely stay still for a photo! To capture the gentle breeze as it caresses the first leaves of spring is a challenge that I was willing to accept.

To add a little camera movement at the time the shutter flickers is to add a little of what I saw there....that day.....back into the image.

These beauties are no longer static, they dance, they burn and they flicker. The woodland floors sparkle and glisten as the sun catches the fresh undergrowth.

The woodland is alive. The tres are full of energy if you just take the time to see.
